Casual Disability Support Worker
Provide practical, person-centred community access and daily living support that builds independence, participation and quality of life.

Shift times and lengths vary with participant needs, employee availability and service requirements. As a casual role, shifts are not guaranteed.

What You’ll Do
Meaningful Support, Every Shift.
- Support community outings and transport, including scenic drives, cafés and activities of interest
- Assist with domestic support, meal preparation and other daily living and household routines
- Provide mobility and transfer support with strong falls-risk awareness, and personal care when required, protecting choice, dignity and privacy
- Complete clear, factual progress notes in ShiftCare and follow support plans, safe work practices and procedures
- Build rapport and support each participant’s goals, independence, community participation and quality of life

What You Need to Succeed.

Vehicle and Driving — SUV Required
A roadworthy, registered SUV or larger vehicle is essential. You also need a current driver licence and comprehensive car insurance for community access.
Checks, Training and Work Rights
Before starting, you need Australian work rights, a current Worker Screening Clearance, a current Police Check, and current First Aid and CPR certification. You may apply while checks or certification are in progress, or if you are willing and eligible to obtain them.
Reliable, Person-Centred Practice
Be punctual, communicate early and respectfully, document shifts accurately in ShiftCare, follow procedures and keep each participant’s goals, dignity and choices at the centre.
SCHADS Award Pay and Conditions
Pay includes casual loading, superannuation and applicable penalties and allowances. Classification is confirmed from the duties, qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
